About Aromatica

Aromatica Centre for Natural Therapies & Holistic Study is dedicated to providing practical, comprehensive education in natural health and complementary bodywork. Through hands-on instruction, guided home study, anatomy and physiology, professional practice, and documented practicums, Aromatica prepares students to develop their skills with confidence, compassion, and respect for the whole person.

Aromatica was founded in 1997 by Jeffery Cottam, whose vision was to expand access to holistic health education in Canada. Jeff was instrumental in introducing Myomassology and several complementary bodywork modalities to Canada, including Tui Na, also known as Chinese Medical Massage.

Through years of study, research, and clinical practice, Jeff developed Contraction Release Therapy (CRT)—a registered treatment system designed to address chronic muscular pain and restriction. His work has helped shape the practice of Myomassology in Canada, and graduates and clients across the country continue to benefit from the therapeutic approaches he developed and taught.

After decades devoted to holistic education and the advancement of Myomassology, Jeff has stepped into a well-earned retirement from Aromatica. His vision, dedication, and contributions created a strong foundation that continues to guide the school and its programs today.

Sarah Ramboer is honoured to carry this legacy forward. She guides Aromatica with integrity, compassion, and deep respect for the principles  in which it was founded. Aromatica will remain committed to offering high-quality, hands-on education in a relaxed and supportive learning environment.

Today, Aromatica continues to honour its roots while evolving to meet the needs of modern holistic health students. The school’s purpose remains clear: to preserve valuable therapeutic knowledge, encourage thoughtful and ethical practice, and prepare skilled practitioners who can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
